Maintenance care

Despite the unique characteristics of strength and durability of aluminium, some care is recommended so that the materials remain 100% functional and the aesthetics are preserved. Thus, regular cleaning is recommended, on average, 2 to 3 times a year, using a soft sponge, warm water and a neutral pH liquid soap. Finally, clean with water and an absorbent cloth.

In areas near chemical industries or the sea, this cleaning process is recommended at least once a month to avoid salt stains or other corrosive materials.

For cleaning the rails, we suggest vacuuming. Under no circumstances should sharp or perforating objects be used in places of difficult access.

Maintenance should be ensured for all mechanisms (locks, cremons, accessories) through lubrication with an applicator or brush.

In the case of sliding windows, it is not necessary to apply oil, as they are already lubricated.

In case of works, protect your frames with a protective tape and only remove them at the end. Acid materials, cement, paint or plaster, among others, may be impossible to remove without damaging the surfaces.

Finally, damaged or worn parts must be replaced in order to maintain the functionality and efficiency of the system.

Lubrication

Maintenance of all mechanisms and hardware should be ensured. Whenever necessary, hinges, locks, cremons, pulleys and other fittings should be lubricated, with fine oil, using applicator or brush and ensuring removal of the excess with a dry cloth. Thus, lubrication care will apply in Hinged systems and sliding systems.

Protection

In case of works, the frames and other aluminium structures should be protected with a protective tape, to be removed only at the end of the intervention. Acid materials, cement, paint or plaster, among others, may be impossible to remove without damaging the surfaces. If these materials come into contact with aluminium, their immediate removal should be sought by applying the cleaning precautions already mentioned.
