Maintenance care
Apesar das características ímpares de resistência e durabilidade do alumínio, recomendam-se alguns cuidados na manutenção da caixilharia das suas janelas para que os materiais se mantenham 100% funcionais e a estética preservada. Assim, recomenda-se a limpeza regular devendo considerar-se, em média, entre 2 a 3 vezes por ano, utilizando uma esponja suave, água quente e um sabão líquido com PH neutro. Para finalizar, deve ser passada água limpa e um pano absorvente.
Em zonas próximas de indústrias químicas ou do mar, recomenda-se este processo de limpeza uma vez por mês, no mínimo, para evitar as manchas de sal ou outros materiais corrosivos.
Para limpeza dos rails, sugere-se a aspiração. Em caso algum, devem ser utilizados objetos cortantes ou perfurantes a locais de difícil acesso.
Deve ser assegurada manutenção de todos os mecanismos (fechaduras, cremonas, acessórios) através de lubrificação com aplicador ou pincel.
No caso das janelas de correr, não é necessária a colocação de óleo, uma vez que já se encontram lubrificadas.
Em caso de obras, proteja as suas caixilharias com uma fita protetora removendo-as apenas no final. Materiais ácidos, cimento, tinta ou gesso, entre outros podem ser impossíveis de remover sem danificar as superfícies.
Finalmente, as peças estragadas ou que apresentem desgaste devem ser substituídas para manter funcionalidade e eficiência do sistema.
Cleaning
It is advised to clean the surface on average two or three times a year with a mild sponge, warm water, and liquid soap that is pH-neutral. Lastly, the area needs to be cleaned with fresh water and a soft cloth. This cleaning procedure should be done at least once a month in areas near chemical industries or the sea to prevent stains from salt or other corrosive materials. It is suggested that you vacuum the rails.
Lubrication
Every component and mechanism needs to be kept up to date. When needed, lubricate hinges, locks, cremones, pulleys, leaf slides, and other accessories with thin oil using a brush or applicator, making sure to wipe off any excess with a dry cloth. The same lubrication precautions apply to sliding as well as opening systems.
Protection
When working, window frames and other aluminum structures should be covered with protective tape, which should only be taken off once the job is finished. It might not be possible to remove acidic materials, cement, paint, or plaster, among other things, without causing damage to the surfaces. If any of these materials come into contact with aluminum, they should be removed right away using the previously discussed cleaning techniques.
Parts replacement
To maintain the system’s functionality, performance, and efficiency, damaged or leaking parts must be replaced despite aluminum’s special resistance and durability and the regular care taken to ensure that the materials remain 100% functional and the aesthetics preserved.
